Phase Transition Theory

We develop theories of first order phasetransitions for our experiments, describing gas condensation, solid formation in one- and multi-component solutions, solid formation in glasses, multi-particle solidification in alloys, and transition kinetics inside anisotropic systems. During our investigations, we mainly rely on Monte Carlo and molecule dynamic simulations, continuum (Cahn-Hilliard, density functional and phasefield) theories, and the discreet molecular method.
